The famous historical and cultural site of Ratanpur is located 25 kilometers from Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh. This sacred, mythological city of Ratanpur has an ancient and glorious history. It is the city of the Adishakti Mahamaya Devi, and evidence of its habitation exists throughout all four eras. It was known as Manipur in the Satyayuga, Hirapur in the Dwapar Yuga, Manikpur in the Treta Yuga, and currently as Ratanpur.

छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य के बिलासपुर जिले से 25 किमी. की दूरी पर प्रसिद्ध ऐतिहासिक सांस्कृतिक स्थल रतनपुर अवस्थित है। इस पवित्र पौराणिक नगरी रतनपुर का प्राचीन एवं गौरवशाली इतिहास आदिशक्ति महामाया देवी की नगरी है जिसके चारों युगों में आबाद रहने का प्रमाण मिलता है। सतयुग में मणिपुर, द्वापर में हीरापुर, त्रेता में मणिकपुर, और वर्तमान में रतनुपर के नाम से जाना जाता है।
